Located on an elevated position on the southern shore of the Dornoch Firth we have, arguably, one of the finest panoramic views of the north-eastern coastline of Scotland - from the warehouse outline of the world-famous Glenmorangie distillery and the purple heather-clad highlands of Sutherland to the fine golden sands of Tain, Scotland's oldest Royal Burgh.
The business was originally started by the late Sandy Macdonald in 1984 as a diversification of his long-established Flower Shop in Tain. Since 1989, the Garden Centre has been run and developed under the personal supervision of his son, David.
As the seasons progress the content of the Garden Centre changes accordingly. However, you can always be sure of a good Highland welcome, from staff eager to please.

UNDER GLASS : Over 700 square metres of glasshouses, two-thirds of which are self-watering/heated.
From January each year we raise thousands of young bedding plants from seed, cuttings and plugs for garden use or hanging baskets, all geared for sale in May or June once the risk of frost has gone. Far too many to mention by name, we concentrate on the hardier varieties which are sure to do well in this part of the world and confidently offer a wide range, differing each year, which will cater for all tastes. We offer complete hanging baskets and undertake municipal contracts.
Our tomato plants are renowned far and wide for their quality. Most of the popular varieties are catered for. we also grow courgettes, cucumber, and leeks from seed.

The majority of our plants are personally selected for quality and strength and originate from all over the UK, also Belgium, Holland, and Denmark.
Our trees are Norfolk grown, incredibly constant in shape and size, and quite possibly offered at some of the best prices in the country. We use our own transport to collect bare-rooted and pot the trees up ourselves, hence our ability to keep prices low.
